A Chicago TV station spent about 15 minutes reporting on a plane crash that turned out to be simulated for the TV series "Chicago Fire."

WGN-TV reported on the crash, which was a simulated scene around 8 a.m. Friday for NBC series "Chicago Fire," complete with a small plane with its left wing splintered off, police cars and ambulance and extras acting as spectators, WMAQ-TV, Chicago, reported Friday.

Police said they did not receive any calls about the fake plane crash, but the Chicago Fire Department sent out an alert asking residents to disregard the scene.

A 29-year-old man has been sentenced to more than a year in prison for posing as a U.S. Marine and cyberstalking and threatening women on online dating sites across Virginia and the mid-Atlantic region. James M. Johnson, of Roxboro, N.C., pleaded guilty in federal court in Alexandria to one count of cyberstalking and one count of making interstate threats. He was sentenced Friday to 15 months in prison.

Former Washington basketball player Doug Wrenn was convicted this afternoon of harassing an ex-girlfriend. Times reporter Jennifer Sullivan filed the story on Wrenn who was found guilty of four counts of cyberstalking and four counts of telephone harassment during a stipulated bench trial.
