Something a little different

I know I mainly write about Internet-related things and this is kind of related, but different as well. I joined http://www.bzzagent.com after a friend told me about it. You take some surveys, fill out your profile and soon enough you're asked to join some campaigns. You end up getting great deals on items or freebies to try. The latest I received was a box with COVERGIRL & Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation and COVERGIRL & Olay Pressed Powder! I've used Covergirl in the past and like their products. Now that I'm older, I decided to give this a whirl and I am very pleased with the results. I hate foundation that feels heavy or greasy and this 2-in-1 foundation was light, covered imperfections on my face well and was not greasy at all. In fact, it feels like there is nothing on my face. The powder is light and keeps the shine down. I am more than pleased with the results and highly recommend both of them - COVERGIRL & Olay Tone Rehab 2-in-1 Foundation and COVERGIR...

Dave Schofield, director of the Whittier Department of Public Safety, said the man, moving to Alaska from another state, took a right turn into the town's small boat harbor about 400 feet after driving off a ferry, the Anchorage (Alaska) Daily News reported Friday. "The GPS apparently misrouted him and he drove down the ramp for launching boats into the water," Schofield said. "He was unfamiliar with the area is the only answer I have for you." A witness jumped into the water and smashed one of the car's windows, allowing the man and his two dogs to escape, but a cat in a pet carrier did not survive. Schofield said a ...

Waltham police said the parrot, which had previously been spotted on the loose in the area, flew into the open window of the police cruiser Monday and landed on the shoulder of an officer who closed the windows and called animal control, WBZ-TV, Boston, reported Thursday. Authorities are hoping to reunite the bird with its owner. "We haven't found the correct owner, but a lot of people have asked about it," animal control officer Deanna Gualtieri told The Boston Globe. * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * Visit WHOA on the web at http://www.haltabuse.org * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * * ...

Dr. Michael Salzhauer rode to the rescue of Krissy Lane, whose yearning for a better profile led her to post a now-viral video featuring her posing in a bikini with a sign reading, "Not Homeless: Need Boobs." "I think it was her unique approach, being honest that this is what she wants," Salzhauer told WSVN-TV, Miami. Salzhauer performed the $6,500 procedure Friday, ratcheting the 37-year-old Lane up from an A cup to a C. There were no complications and Lane said she was looking forward to a new life. "I know it'll make me feel better," she told a television reporter prior to the surgery. "I'll feel more confident." * ...

When he arrived for the inspection, Yazici entered a room at random and caught an officer playing a video game, the report said. Staffordshire police said 20 police canines with their dog support unit will be outfitted with FidoCam technology during the next 12 months to give officers a dog's-eye-view in situations including drug busts and foot chases, The Daily Telegraph reported Thursday. "This bit of kit is fantastic -- it attaches to the dog's head and we can get a live view of what they are seeing," Inspector Chris Dawson said. "There are many situations when this technology will be beneficial to our officers. If we are searching for a dangerous person we can send the dog into a building with the camera to search for them and then when they indicate a find by barking, we will be able...
