The Collier County Sheriff's Office said an East Naples man called 911 early Monday to report seeing two men and a woman at the home of neighbors he knew to be out of town, the Naples Daily News reported Wednesday. Deputies said they pulled over a blue Saturn with a license plate matching the number the man had given them a short time after the call. Leo Guarente, owner of the Junk Depot in Saugus, said a woman who asked to be identified only as Marie hired his crew to remove junk from her mother's Medford home and his workers used sledgehammers to open the chest and discovered a cache of savings bonds stamped by the Charlestown Savings Bank, the Boston Globe reported Wednesday. Once one of the lucky bars is opened the GPS chip will be activated, sending a signal to Nestle, which says the winner will be located within 24 hours by a helicopter for hand delivery of a briefcase containing $16,000 in cash. The temporary Paris store closes Sept. 21 and other stores will open this fall in Brussels, in Laussane, Switzerland and then in Lyon and Toulouse back in France.
