The books were checked out from Dormont School in the 1920, which is now the Dormont Municipal Building, home to the historical society, KDKA-TV, Pittsburgh, reported Friday. Paul Kaminski, of Dormont, said he drove a box of books back from his cousin's home in Arizona. Inside the box he discovered the overdue books. "A fine of five cents a day shall be paid on each book which is not returned according to the above rule," was printed in the books, Kaminski said. That fine would come to a $1,600 library fine for one book that was checked out in 1924. Kaminski said the books were probably checked out by his father and uncle, who attended Dormont Sc

Florida Fish and Wildlife Conservation Commission spokeswoman Joy Hill said the woman was walking her dog at an apartment complex on Sable Drive in Longwood around 7 a.m. Friday when the bear attacked, the Orlando Sentinel reported Friday. The woman sustained four puncture wounds to her rear end and was taken to Florida Hospital Altamonte for treatment, Hill said. Broward County Sheriff Al Lamberti said deputies arrested Steven Mulhall, 21, of Coral Springs, Thursday after seeing the picture of the suspect holding Broward Circuit Judge Michael Orlando's nameplate on Facebook and verifying he was in the courtroom Feb. 23, the day the plate went missing, the South Florida Sun Sentinel reported Friday. Betsy Stibler, 41, was checking on her children when she spotted the burglar going through her father's car around 2 a.m. Thursday, Naples (Fla.) Daily News reported. Stibler said she called 911, then confronted the suspect. "I said, 'You may as well stop. The police are coming. And if you are going to run, you better run fast and more than three miles because I'm a runner,'" Stibler said. The suspect, identified as Roy Wayne Hansen, 21, took off, the newspaper said.
