Letter from Clive Cussler about my book

Yes, I do know Clive. He is a good friend. No, I will not give you his address or phone number or send anything to him, so please don't ask.

I sent him a copy of my latest book, the 2nd edition of Net Crimes & Misdemeanors because he graciously gave me a quote for the cover of the book. He sent me the following lovely letter. I didn't post it earlier because I've been busy getting ready for my next trip (I leave Monday).

Hey,if you're such a good friend of Cussler's,tell him to respect his fans more,listen to what they have to say,and,for heaven's sake,to get over himself and let there be more films, which, a majority of his fans want.
SAHARA was a more then respectful treatment of his work and everything was done to accommodate him in that process and the trial proved it.And,he lost. That should tell you something.

That way,Clive can practice what he preaches,especially with that letter you got.

Sahara was the WORST adaptation of any book. The lead actor was not the Dirk Pitt I or any real fan imagined - we all had hoped for Hugh Jackman. The movie was too campy and left out important parts. Clive didn't completely lose - at least no more books will be made into movies as long as he's alive.

Our Marlboro Ranch/Crazy Mountain Ranch Adventure - June 28-July 1, 2013

Yes, there really is a Marlboro Ranch. And yes, it's that Marlboro. My husband smokes their cigarettes, much less than he did when he first met me. He told me about the Marlboro web site, so I registered him and me and began entering their contests. Over the years we have won a boatload of things, from ashtrays to horseshoes to customized tee shirts and pint glasses and a NASCAR Hot Laps Experience (we got to ride shotgun around the track and drifting in brand new Mustangs - the cars, not the horses). I began entering us every day to possibly win a trip to the Marlboro Ranch, which always seemed like a fantasy place to me. Well, we won in May 2013. Beware of Craigslist Text Scams

Craigslist scammers are using texts these days to scam you. If you put in your cell phone number to allow calls or texts for potential buyers, be aware that Craigslist does not send a text link for questions from this so-called buyer. This is the second time I have received a text from someone with the message: New Craigslist Buyer Message Read using this: http://question3300.do.am/account_log_in.html I had a new one yesterday, which is posted below. Smart scammer made it personal, used a name and I checked the phone number - it was indeed from Florida. But I smelled a scam and went along with it until my zinger at the end. I haven't heard from him since, LOL. BEWARE of these scams via text!
